Evert Wolsheimer moved to the Bay Area in 1982 from The Netherlands. He and his family have lived in Monte Sereno since 2002.
Evert had a career spanning more than 25 years in the semiconductor industry, and held executive positions at Philips, LSI Logic and Xilinx, both in the US and in Europe.
He has served on the Board of Directors of several non-profit and industry organizations, such as the GSA (Global Semiconductor Association), and the Support Network. He is currently Vice President of the Board of the YWCA of Silicon Valley. He served on the Monte Sereno Site and Architecture Commission for five years prior to becoming a City Council Member.
Evert earned a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Delft University in The Netherlands.
